There is something romantic about summer camps. When I saw this camp kitchen on Remodelista I thought “my last kitchen was smaller and less functional than that!”.

Everyone at work is talking about their long weekend plans to country houses. Tim, Alex and I are staying at home (no traffic for us!) However, this image is going in the “country house” file. I’d love an open kitchen like this, some day. And, Tim loves italian sparkling water, so maybe a nice row of green glass bottles just for him.

I woke up this morning in a great mood, which made me realize I’ve been in a bad mood recently. Anyway, I caught up on a tiny percentile of my blog reading and saw this awesome nook and garland on The Purl Bee. I love those garlands and they look really really easy to make. Also, we went to Ikea over the weekend and bought those chairs in red… pictures to follow eventually.

This is one of my favorite images. I LOVE the tree branch and the light. And the composition of the photo too, I think. I wouldn’t want this kitchen (it looks really difficult to keep clean) but I’d like to spend the weekend here. In my fantasy, this is a beach house and I could come in for a drink with sand on my feet. SIGH.

We have a big white wall in our kitchen (above) that is calling out for something besides white paint. Tim suggested a peg board. I like the one below — any other images I should consider?
