4.13.14 – Wanderlust: Miami

We’re in Miami for a few days –  Alex is headed to the hotel kids club at 9am and then I’m going to sit on the beach and read the paper without any interruptions for a few hours.  Any Miami recommendations? Particularly for dinner tonight? We ate at Lure and Yardbird yesterday and both were tasty. The Wolfsonian is on the list for tomorrow.  But otherwise, not plans, no reservations!

It snowed here again yesterday, so this looks particularly heavenly. Enjoy! 😀

Never mind….Joe’s Stone Crabs doesnt take reservations. It is a Miami institution. 100 years. But its crazy busy in season, and there is always a line. You have more of a chance at lunch, than dinner.

if you have a rental car, I recommend Robert is Here Fruit Stand down in the Redlands. The line to get a fruit shake is usually long but well worth the wait. And they have a small zoo that your son will find adorable. This place is off the beaten path and will show you a whole other side to MIA. I have been going to Robert is Here for the last 15 years. And Homestead has many excellent taco stands for lunch. enjoy.
