Kickstarter Scouting: The Secret Atlas of North Coast Food

Random photo of Minneapolis Saint Paul I took this past February. So glad to have a reason to post it here.

My friend Jim Norton and a cadre of talented folks behind The Heavy Table are kickstarting The Secret Atlas of North Coast Food which promises to be nothing short of mouth-watering. Minneapolis has some serious food mojo happening and I can’t wait to have this guide in hand for our next trip. For those of you who haven’t been, this will provide a guidebook and reason to get on a plane.  Here’s one of our  Minneapolis travelogues, if you haven’t seen it.

I’m especially looking forward to this chapter A Taxonomy of Ice Cream Trucks and Their Songs:

A Taxonomy of Ice Cream Trucks and Their Songs
written and illustrated by Andy Sturdevant

Writer and artist Andy Sturdevant (MinnPost, the upcoming Potluck Supper with Meeting to Follow) tracks down some of the many ice cream trucks plying their fattening wares in the Twin Cities metro area, observes their habits in their native environment, and documents both their offerings and their maddeningly cheerful songs.
