Pictures like this make me even more determined to have a garden next year.
p.s. Will you report back on canning tomatoes? I’m fascinated by the process, but for some reason, it terrifies me. Absolutely terrifies me.
ohmygoodness, GORGEOUS!
ps: i want in on that canning experience!
by total coincidence I spent the entire morning canning.
thanks for the link!
Wow, that’s amazing.
So lovely!
How funny, I’m obsessed with canning lately, too! My first step is a jelly, since those seem to be easier than savory items.
I want to eat every single thing on this plate!
Talk about bountiful harvest! I’d like a taste of everything, please.
beautiful! yum! there is nothing better than eating home grown food!!
ooooh canning tomatoes is very satisfying, but, if you don’t get around to it and you have the freezer space, i’ve had great results just peeling, slicing and freezing tomatoes. you can freeze on cookie sheets then put in freezer bags so they don’t clump up (though i’ve just done several smaller bags of them). they’re great for throwing in soups, sauces, etc. and as delicious as canned if not as lovely in the jars. that said, we should have a tomato canning party!
Canning tomatoes! Brilliant! We can’t keep up with all the myriad types and sheer poundage of tomatoes we pick up each week in our csa share. Worried about overexposure to nightshades at this point! And then we will miss them in the winter when Dan gets his chili on…
