I thought you might like to see a peek of Alex’s room; I finally got the posters and tea towels up. The little car is made by Haba and was a first birthday present from doting grandparents. The tea towels were insanely expensive to frame, so I just put them up with bull dog clips. The rug is from Anthropologie. If you click each image, you’ll see a larger version!
The globe pillow is perfect for resting my head on while Alex runs around at 5am.

PS this is what his room used to look like when he was a tiny baby!

I LOVE it! I am really enjoying all these honest and simply designed rooms I’m seeing lately. They are so inspiring, and yours is no exception.
I love it!
It looks FANTASTIC. Geesh. I seriously thought it looked great before, but it is even cuter now.
I love the clips for the tea-towels – so nice and unfussy!
So sweet without being too sweet. Love that “Become who you are”. Beautiful sentiment and lovely work!
it looks absolutely amazing! i adore the car.
Wonderful! Lots of creative space for Alex to be and become who he is.
You may have posted about these before, but would you tell us something about the Eiffel Tower art as well as the pretty rug.
Happy weekend!
It looks like such a happy place!
god, you have such great taste. perfect all around. i LOVE the “become who you are” print.
We love this room! Not only so safe and worry free (quite something with a rambunctious toddler), it just feels so good to be in it. The vibes are high! Which I guess is one of the points of a well-designed space: you feel good just being in it. You are a design genius.
Fresh, clean, and colorful! I like it!
Are the square wood floor tiles original to the house or something new? I love the look.
Beautiful. May I ask where the gorgeous round rug is from?
I am a new reader and I absolutely adore the nursery (actually both before and now). Great job on transitioning the room into a fun spot for a big boy, you’ve managed to make it both cozy and bright at the same time. I am in love with the flag wall decal above the crib and cannot find it anywhere! Apparently Wal-Mart no longer has this available…Anyone out there have any ideas on who makes this? I have searched all the decal websites to no avail, and it would look perfect in my little boys room. Thanks!
Hi everyone — thanks for all the nice comments! For those of you looking for similar bunting decals, check out these: http://www.petitcollage.com/wallpaper-pennants-2.html
Also, the rug is from Anthropolgie, and is still available. You can find it in the round rugs section.
ohh what a delightful space. where are those fabulous dish towels from?? what a great idea!
where are the blue storage bins from? I love the way these appear to have tops – i have been obsessing about toy storage lately.
