I’ve been mulling over purchasing these two posters and after a conversation with a friend this morning I bit the bullet and bought them. I love the “Fail Better” quote by Samuel Beckett – it sums up a lot of parenting for me — you do your best and sometimes you fail but your only choice is to try again and hopefully fail better. Then, the “become who you are” poster seems like a great mantra for adults and children alike. For me, it is a reminder that as a parent my job is to help Alex become who he already is (as opposed to trying to shape him into something he isn’t). I hope that makes sense. I’m not sure where they are going to live in our house, but, I know they will find a good spot.

that Beckett quotes is one of my favorites. Thanks for the link!
I know what you mean. Boy, do I ever.
I so need those in my life. Bookmarked! Thanks Abby. You make designing life so much easier.
Great quotes. And I agree with your thoughts on each. Thanks for sharing!
Become who you are!
I love that. Everything good wrapped up in to that mantra… self love, authenticity, self respect, self knowledge. I do absolutely think that’s what we’re called to do, especially as parents, to help our little ones be strong in who they are.
You are so GREAT.
I love these! I say go for it.
I’m normally not one for posters like this, but I love the “Become Who You Are Poster”. I really like what you said about it too
What a sweet mama!
It makes perfect sense. I love this, Abbey. Well said.
I love both of them….it is easier for me now that my son is out on his own….I know I have little influence now…smiles.
love both of these. i so need that reminder with my daughter — she is not a “little me” and that is just perfect. and for the first one, i really need that for work and home life!!!
i think these are lovely – and good little reminders to see everyday too!

I love these! I am just a sucker for a quote in a frame.
I love these posters. “Become who you are” is perfect the way you describe it as a mother’s attitude toward her child. Lovely!
