These gnomes ornaments are fantastic, $7.

They remind me of this book from my childhood ($2.20 from Amazon).

I was obsessed with that book. I keep meaning to buy a copy! There was a second one where he talked about Gnomes Around the World.

I’m sure you have already seen these cards already but they are just so adorable, I couldn’t help mentioning. http://www.eggpress.com/holiday09/shop3103.html

My Mom and I used to make ornaments almost exaclty like that out of salt dough, only we called them Nisse. We used a garlic press for the beard. I had that book too…awesome!

That book is darling! I love the bright colors on the cover. Gnomes are such mysterious, entertaining little creatures.

We had a set of those books in miniature they were fascinating – liked the part telling the difference between the males and females!

He’s a cute little gnome. We had hat book when I was a kid. I remember my mom got some figurines that matched the man on the cover and a woman from a Scandinavian shop too.

I love the ornament, and the book looks darling. It reminds me of the show “David the Gnome” I used to watch on Nickelodeon as a kid – my favorite!

We share so many childhood books. This gnome book was one of my favorites!!! As you recall, Goodnight Moon and Scuppers were two others that made my list.
