Tim and I watched I Love You, Man tonight which was a pretty funny movie (but then again, I take all the laughs I can get these days, so maybe I’m just easy). In any case, what I really liked was the upholstered bed in this scene — so grown up but not too fussy. Anyone know where this is from? Or who might sell one like it? I’ve checked the usual suspects: CB2, Room and Board, Mitchell Gold.

Both Target and Urban Outfitters have ones that look very similar.
How funny! I just watched this movie last week, and I remember the whole decor of the bedroom and thinking, “Gosh I wish that was MY bedroom!” We must have good taste.

I think I saw one on Urban Outiftters. I know they have tufted headboards. I also saw a tutorial for making your own somewhere. If I find it I’ll let you know.
Yeah, you could totally make a headboard like this without any trouble at all (and if you need a crafty assistant, I know a girl who is moving to your neck of the woods …)

It’s Target – I bought it last week. I looked everywhere for a headboard and this one had great reviews on the website so I took a chance and loved it. c$200.

Get one made. It will be cheaper. Find an upholster and buy the linen or whatever fabric you want in the garment district. I have a great source. I was eyeing the same headboard.
Thing I love about padded headboards. Good for little ones. They’ll be in bed with you every morning jumping around and you’ll be blocking a wood headboard from their tiny precious baby head. Padded is better for jumping babies!

You could totally make that! And probably by yourself too if you have enough room to spread it all out (depending on the size of your bed I guess!)
