I’m still thinking about curtains and loving these two images. I was floundering for a color selection and so I did what I also do in these cases: I called my mother. She, in turn, consulted her feng shui decorating books and decoded that in our current apartment the best colors for curtains in the living and bedrooms are yellow, black, white and metallics. Short of an actual decorator, feng shui books will have to do!
However, when she said the word yellow, I realized that I’d been saving images of yellow curtains (see above) without even noticing. So, yellow curtains it is!
I clicked around Mood Fabrics and found the following yellows — they are sending me FREE swatches (a godsend to pregnant women everywhere!).

Love the second fabric swatch.
I’m just looking at the plain white bedding with a patterned bedskirt showing up in both pictures. That top one especially is like an architectural frieze on an otherwise simple wall. Such a low-key way to add color or pattern to your bedding.

Ooh–that stripe is lovely. And who knew that mood sends swatches for free? i used to hate going there because i got so overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of fabrics…I never knew where to start. hope one of these works out!
