Good Shoes Gone Bad

There is nothing like the disappointment of good shoes gone bad. See these silver Cole Haan shoes? Don’t they look awesome? Like they would be a great pair of casual shoes to run around the city, paired with crisp dark blue jeans and your perfect fitting summer tee? I thought so.

Boy was I wrong. I’m not particularly prone to blisters and I like to think I’m pretty savvy about shoes. But these Cole Haan shoes DESTROY my feet. Not like a small rub that trusty athletic tape might help (I always have a small roll in my bag — it is super useful), but like crippling blisters every time I’ve worn them. To add insult to what is some actual injury: they are my size, not too big, not too small. It was so bad today that while running around the city I had to buy new shoes (see below) JUST TO STOP THE PAIN.

Silver lining: they are red, cute, and comfortable.

Oh, those Cole Haans do look fab. I would have fallen for their siren song as well.

love the red sandals! They’d be perfect for my upcoming trip to the shore.
