Yesterday I scored 12 settings of this silver at Tepper Galleries (an auction house here in NYC). I’m so excited because when we got married we didn’t register for silver with the understanding that someday we would buy it at auction where you can get full sets fairly reasonably. I’ve had my eye out for a year and wouldn’t you know it, but I basically stumble over these when I least expect it. I like old things better than new things sometimes. These set was made by the New York firm Dominick and Huff in the 1920s-1940s.

Great looking! Reminds me of a recent post by Danny Seo who says lately he has been finding mismatched vintage silverware for his photo shoots. Great you found a set!
These are beautiful. Good work!
OMG I LOVE THIS!!!! wow, congrats and good for you guys! xo
GREAT FIND! I’ve been looking for some more silverware – these are quite inspiring!
Yes great pick up !
Congrats…what a great find! I love the idea of breathing new life into something that was once so important to another young, married couple. Think of all the history you’ve inherited! My best friend and I went to Thailand four years ago and brought back a set of silver for our friends who had just gotten married. It was pretty inexpensive, compared to US prices, and our friends absolutely loved it because it came with such a great story.
those are beautiful! what a score.
