From the monthly archives:

I came across this interior via the New York Times real estate section, and while it not the most glamorous interior I’ve ever posted, it is an authentic one. I like: the gallery wall, the velvet sofa, the arm chair. The wall mounted air conditioner is a little funky, yes.
Our weekend: relaxing in Boston with family, seeing friends, shopping at Costco, making it back to NYC in under 3 hours.

I’ve been meaning to do a post on Jon of Happy Mundane’s photowall. I loved the little white shelf for displaying his collections and asked where he purchased it and it turns out it’s from Target and only $19.99. Thanks Jon!

Also, loving this lamb’s ear (one of my favorite container gardening plants) arrangement that I spied on Creature Comforts.

Some early morning vase-scape inspiration for you, from the wonderful women over at Desire to Inspire.

Tonight, walking home from a frustrating session at the “genius” bar at the Apple store (as much as I love their products, I’m not a fan of the “brand experience”) I noticed this for-real genius in the window of Gerald Bland (one of my favorite store windows in NYC) — asparagus used as a floral arrangement! I love how spring-like and fresh this is. Just beautiful.

I’m still under the weather (boring! so many fun-er things I’d rather be doing besides being under the weather!). This sweet embroidered underwater “specimen” seems calming and reminds me of sun, sand, and having a tan. Available at the always fun Curiosity Shoppe. I originally came across this via Etsy seller Jpolka’s Wunderkammer Shop and then this great blog.

Happy Happy Happy Friday! I hope you find a bit of spring someplace this weekend. Here’s this weeks bouquet! xo, Abbey

I was in the library yesterday and got lost in the gardening section — so many delicious books on gardening, garden ornaments and boy am I ready for spring. In a 1957 Park Bernet auction catalog I found this lovely garden stand made out of wrought iron.

A little later, I spied this, a similar stand in action!

I love how romantic and Parisian this looks. SIGH.

I’m feeling under the weather (Tim’s flu is catching?) but am loving this bike from In(side) the Loop. Oh, and how sweet is the garden? I want spring now!

Loving this dining room from La Fleur Blanche, in the Loire valley. More photos here. Oh, and you can rent the entire house, too.

A friend sent me this link to Drew Berrymore’s office kitchen via the Domino Galleries. I’d LOVE to have an office with a kitchen like this, heck, I’d love to have this kitchen in my HOME.
I like: the chandelier, the green walls, the checked floor, the long “farm house” table and cafe chairs. Oh, and of course, the light.

We didn’t do a whole lot this weekend — did a bit of spring cleaning, thought about planting some sweet peas and poppy seeds on the porch, opened my Easter basket early. I love that my mother still sends me an Easter basket. This year’s theme was mostly practical items (like Neosporin! which I really needed) which made me love her all the more. (PS see the egg shaped dish scrubbers in the left hand corner? She MADE them!).
